Adult Nightime Prayer

I see the world through childlike eyes,

lying on my back,

amazed at the skies,

debth of vibrant colors,

my heart pounding,

Imagining an eagle's flight,

and his gentle grounding.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord,my soul to take

the promise made of good intentions,

the complexity of a world in all dimensions,

as we gather moments of joy throughout our lives,

and thankfully our lives guided,

by his gentle light,

our Lord, God.
